Most LED panels stop at “it lights up”. PixelArtDisplay ships with finished software: four polished modes, a browser UI, OTA updates and a controller in the box.
600 pixels of pure vibe
A 24×25 grid of addressable RGB LEDs — big enough for real pixel art, small enough to sit on your desk. Every pixel is individually driven at 30 fps by a dedicated core, so animation stays buttery while the game logic runs on the other.
A game you can actually play
Not an animation loop. A full arcade engine with collision, levels, next-piece preview and a score panel rendered right into the matrix. The included wireless controller talks over ESP-NOW for input latency you can feel — in a good way.
It listens to your music
An onboard I²S MEMS microphone feeds a real-time spectrum analyzer. Drop it next to your speakers and the panel becomes a living equalizer. No audio jack, no Bluetooth pairing dance — it just hears the room.
App or browser — your call
Set up over Wi-Fi with the companion app, or skip the install and open pixelartdisplay.local in any browser — no account, no tracking SDK either way. There's also a documented REST API if you'd rather drive it from Home Assistant, a script, or your own dashboard.

OTA updates land on a dual-slot A/B partition with automatic rollback — a failed update can never leave you with a black panel. The firmware is open, hackable, and yours to modify.
Live in about two minutes
Plug it in
USB-C, any 5V supply. The panel boots in about two seconds and starts its own setup hotspot if it has never been on your Wi-Fi.
Join your Wi-Fi
Open the setup page in your browser or the companion app, pick your network, type the password. That's the only setup step there is.
Open the browser UI
Type pixelartdisplay.local on any device on the same network. Switch modes, change palettes, sync the clock, or drive it from the API.

No — but you can. The panel serves its own web UI: connect it to your Wi-Fi once, then open pixelartdisplay.local (or its IP address) in any browser on the same network. If you prefer an app, the free companion app handles setup and everyday control over the same local connection. Either way there's no account and no cloud relay.
Nothing extra — a 5V / 3A power adapter ships in the box. Plug it into any standard wall outlet and you're done. Mains power is what lets the panel hold full brightness with every LED lit, something a phone charger or battery pack can't sustain.
Yes. Two M3 threaded inserts on the back plate line up with the included wall-mount plate, and the USB-C port is recessed so the panel sits flush. A desktop stand is also in the box.
Yes. The arcade game, clock, spectrum and environment modes all run standalone. If no network is available, the panel can also start its own local hotspot so you can still control it from your phone.
The firmware is open and hackable — you can flash your own builds over USB-C or OTA, drive it through the documented REST API, or remap the controller. We publish update notes with every release.
